Triabunna is the civic centre of Tasmania's East Coast region encompassing Buckland to Bicheno and taking in the Freycinet coastline. It is the home of the municipal council for Glamorgan-Spring Bay and base for a growing number of businesses looking for a rural, yet exciting change of pace.

The east coast of Tasmania enjoys some 130,000 visitors per year and most would at some point pass through Triabunna.

Triabunna is a pleasant scenic one and a quarter hour drive from Hobart. The name of the town is derived from the term for Native Hen, and it was the station for a unit of the 63rd Regiment in 1830, and a unit of the 51st Regiment was stationed here.

The current population is 4,220 people, and there are approximately 4,694 rateable properties in the municipality as documented by the Glamorgan-Spring Bay Council.*

Triabunna itself is in close proximity of beautiful beaches, churches and other buildings of historic interest. The weather on Tasmania's east coast is some of the best experienced in the state. This allows the visitor and local residents to enjoy a myriad of leisure activities such as fishing, sailing, surfing, diving, tennis, bowls or golf.

You may take a ferry trip from Triabunna to Maria Island,or visit the marina to watch the local fisherman return with their catches. Visit the scenic forest areas for bushwalking or a barbecue.
